One culinary treasure is Kirembwe, a hearty mix of bananas and beans  slow-cooked in a clay pot . When cooled, it becomes a firm porridge that resembles a cake — ideal for farm journeys or long travels . Ground and mixed with water, it transforms into a porridge-like dish called Kiumbo .
